NWF rallies late to defeat JDCC baseball

Leading Northwest Florida 3-0 after two innings Tuesday in Niceville, Fla., the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team fell to four unanswered runs by NWF to take a 4-3 loss. The loss dropped JDCC to 5-8 overall this season.
JDCC led NWF 1-0 after one inning and 3-0 after two innings before NWF plated their first runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
From there, NWF added one more run in the fifth inning and one each in the eighth and ninth innings to get the one-run win.
Tyler Joyner took the loss on the mound for the Warhawks as he went 3 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, two earned runs, walked three and struck out five.
Riley Hodge also pitched for JDCC in the loss and went five innings and allowed seven hits, two runs, one earned, walked one and struck out five.
For the Warhawks at the plate, John-Mark Cosby swung the hot bat as he went 4-for-5 with one RBI and two doubles.
Brandon Davis was 1-for-4 with one RBI while Craig Headley was 2-for-5 with one RBI as well.
Alec Talley went 1-for-4 while Gregory Ciangiotto was 1-for-3.
