CACC sweeps JDCC softball Tuesday in Alexander City

Three was the loneliest number for the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks softball team Tuesday in Alexander City.
Facing off against Central Alabama Community College, JDCC was outscored by CACC 9-3 in game one and 7-3 in game two to get swept. The doubleheader sweep for JDCC dropped the Lady Warhawks to 6-13 overall.

Game one: CACC 9, JDCC 3
In game one, CACC scored five runs in the fifth inning and out hit JDCC 14-5 to get the six-run win.
Hannah Brake and Jessica Swindle led JDCC at the plate in the loss as Brake was 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI while Swindle was 1-for-2 with a double and one RBI.
Paige Wooley and Katlin Bryars both had one hit each in the loss.
In the pitching circle, Kaitlin Hadaway and Brake both pitched with Hadaway taking the loss.
The duo combined to go six innings and allowed 14 hits, nine runs, five earned, walked five and struck out one in the loss.

Game two: CACC 7, JDCC 3
In game two, JDCC was again held to three runs as they took a 7-3 loss. CACC out hit JDCC 12-3 in the game and used a six-run fourth inning to aid them in the win.
Audrey Hamric, Brake and Chelsey Ramer all had one hit each in the loss with Hamric and Ramer having one RBI each.
Bryars took the pitching loss as she went 3 2/3 innings while Brake went the final 2 1/3 innings.
The duo combined to allow 12 hits, seven runs, none earned, walked four and struck out seven.
