WSNMS baseball gets first win of season

W.S. Neal Middle School’s baseball team earned their first win of the season Thursday as they downed Flomaton 16-7 to move to 1-5 this season.
Leading Flomaton 9-5 after six innings, WSN put the game away in the top of the seventh inning to build a 16-5 lead. Flomaton added two runs in the bottom of the inning, but lost by nine.
Dylan Ingram and Matthew Thomas pitched in the win with Ingram being the pitcher of record. Ingram went five innings and allowed four runs, two hits, struck out five and walked three.
Thomas went two innings and allowed two runs, four hits, walked and struck out one.
At the plate, Noah Hill had two hits and two RBIs while stealing three bases. Ingram had two hits and two RBIs while Jennings Hobbs added a hit and one RBI and stole one base.
Thomas finished with a double and stole two bases. Tucker Davenport added one hit and two RBIs.
