TRM’s track teams sweep 10-team home meet Thursday

In their first track meet of the year Thursday, the T.R. Miller Tigers hosted a 10-team meet and captured first place on both the girls and the boy’s side.
In the girl’s meet, TRM scored 263.5 points to capture the win. Second place went to Northview with 94 points followed by Hillcrest-Evergreen’s 80, Opp’s 49.5, W.S. Neal’s 33.5, J.F. Shields’ 33.5, McIntosh’s 30, Excel’s 10, Monroe County’s 9, and Red Level’s 5.
In the boys’ meet, TRM took down Hillcrest-Evergreen for first place. The Tigers scored 214.5 points while the Jaguars followed with 163.5 points.
Opp finished in third place with 72 points while WSN took fourth place with 48 points and Monroe County came in fifth with place with 37 points.
Northview took sixth place with 35 points followed by McIntosh’s 29 points, Excel’s 28 points, Red Level’s 16 points and J.F. Shields’ 15 points.
In the girl’s meet, local first place finishes went to:

• TRM’s Makayla Harrison, 100-meter hurdles
• WSN’s KeKe Floyd, 100-meter dash
• TRM’s Allie Nelson, 1,600-meter run
• TRM’s 4×100-meter relay team

• TRM’s Mekiah Williams, 300-meter hurdles
• TRM’s Allie Nelson, 800-meter run
• WSN’s KeKe Floyd, 200-meter dash
• TRM’s Madison Lum, 3,200-meter run
• TRM’s 4×400-meter relay team
• TRM’s Peyton Baxter, pole vault
• TRM’s Makayla Harrison, high jump
• TRM’s Shayn Bradley, long jump
• TRM’s Makayla Harrison, triple jump
• TRM’s Serena Smith, discus
• TRM’s Serena Smith, shot put
In the boy’s meet, local first place finishes went to:
• TRM’s Walker Harris, 1,600-meter run
• TRM’s Kellyn Winn, 300-meter hurdles
• TRM’s Micah Flores, 3,200-meter run
• TRM’s Trin Miller, pole vault
• WSN’s Kody Kaufman, long jump
• TRM’s Terry Samuel, javelin
• TRM’s Fabion Jones, shot put
