WSN JV baseball swept in Andalusia Saturday

In a road doubleheader Saturday in Andalusia against Park Crossing and Trinity, W.S. Neal’s JV baseball team went 0-2 to move to 2-2 this year.
The JV Eagles lost to Park Crossing 6-5 and fell to Trinity by a score of 16-3.

Park Crossing 6, WSN JV 5
Leading 5-4 in the final inning, WSN gave up two runs to Park Crossing in the bottom of the fifth inning to suffer a 6-5 loss for their first loss of the season.
Sam Frazier, Jeremy Gafford and Jacobey Hawthorne all pitched in the loss with Gafford being the pitcher of record.
The trio combined to go five innings and allowed nine hits, six earned runs, walked nine, and struck out four.
At the plate for WSN, Hawthorne had two hits while Aaron Bosarge, Weston Riddle, PJ Lovelace, Frazier and Troy Lewis all had one.
Hawthorne, Matt Hutchins, Riddle and Frazier had one RBI each while Bosarge had two.
Frazier had a double while Hawthorne had a homerun.
WSN trailed PC 4-1 after two innings and 4-2 after four innings before rallying with three in the top of the fifth inning.

Trinity 16, WSN JV 3
WSN’s JV team was held to five hits and made five errors while Trinity pounded out 13 hits and scored 16 runs in the second game of the day to hand WSN a 16-3 loss.
WSN scored one run each in the first three innings while Trinity led 4-1 after one inning, 9-2 after three, 14-3 after three, 15-3 after four and 16-3 after five.
Hutchins, Riddle and Gafford all pitched in the loss with Hutchins being the pitcher of record.
The trio went five innings and allowed 13 hits, 16 runs, 10 earned, walked and struck out six while hitting two batters.
Hawthorne had two hits while Hutchins, Riddle and Lewis had one each.
Hawthorne, Hutchins and Frazier had one RBI each. Hawthorne had a double in the loss while Hutchins had a homerun.
