TRM JV softball goes 2-1 in own tournament Saturday

In their own JV tournament Saturday, the T.R. Miller JV softball Tigers went 2-1 to move to 10-1 this season.
TRM defeated Escambia County 20-2 in their first game of pool play and then defeated Milton 13-2 to move to 10-0 this season.
In the single elimination part of the tournament, TRM lost to Jay 9-7 to suffer their first loss of the season and to get eliminated from the tournament.

TRM JV 20, EC 2
TRM scored 20 runs, 13 in the first inning, on 17 hits, and got a no-hitter from Kaleigh Folsom and Anna Grace White to get a 20-2 win over Escambia County in three innings in their first game of the day.
Folsom went one inning for TRM and allowed no hits, two unearned runs, walked one, struck out two and hit two batters to get the win.
White went the last two innings and walked two, struck out three and hit one batter while allowing no runs and no hits.
Eleven different Lady Tigers had hits in the win as Steely Ruzic, Gabbi Solomon, Myra Reiss, Mallori Floyd, Taylor Austin and Folsom all had two hits each. Mary Madison Brown, Madison Douglas, White, Janazia Nettle and Abigail Cave all had one hit each.
Brown and Folsom had a double each.
Brown, Grace Ruzic and White all had three RBIs each while Austin had two.
Steely Ruzic, Douglas, Floyd, Nettles and Cave had one RBI each.

TRM JV 13, Milton 2
For the second game in a row, TRM used a big first inning to propel them to a win. TRM scored eight runs in the first inning to get a 13-2 win over Milton.
Reiss led the Lady Tigers at the plate as she went 3-for-3 with a double and a triple and two RBIs.
Brown went 2-for-2 for TRM while Steely Ruzic, Solomon, Douglas and Austin had one hit each. Ruzic had a triple while Solomon had a double. Ruzic added three RBIs while Solomon and Austin had one each.
Ruzic and Austin pitched in the win with Ruzic being the pitcher of record. Ruzic went two innings and allowed four hits, two earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Austin went two innings and allowed two hits, no runs, walked one and struck out two.

Jay 9, TRM JV 7
TRM suffered their first loss of the season and lone loss of the tournament as Jay earned a 9-7 win over the Lady Tigers.
TRM trailed Jay 6-0 after the top of the third inning, but rallied with six of their own over the third and fourth innings. Jay added three in the top of the fifth and held TRM to one run in the inning to get the win by two.
Austin took the pitching loss as she went five innings and allowed six hits, eight runs, seven earned, walked none, struck out two and hit two batters.
At the plate, Austin led TRM with a homerun and two RBIs. Ruzic also led TRM as she went 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Morgan Longmire, Solomon, Brown, Reiss and Floyd all went 1-for-3 in the loss. Ruzic, Brown, Reiss, Floyd and Grace Ruzic had one RBI each.
