JDCC softball splits with Enterprise

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks softball team split a home game with Enteprise State Tuesday. JDCC lost game one 2-1 before winning game two 8-0 in five innings.
The split moved JDCC’s record to 26-22 overall and to 10-6 in conference play.

Game one: ESCC 2, JDCC 1
JDCC blew a 1-0 late as they lost game one to ESCC 2-1. ESCC scored one run each in the sixth and seventh innings to get the win.
At the plate for JDCC, Paige Wooley, Katlin Bryars and Shaquanna Jones all had two hits each while Paige Lambeth and Tristen Boothe had one hit each.
In the pitching circle for JDCC, Kaitlin Hadaway took the loss as she went all seven innings and allowed six hits, two runs, one earned, walked two and struck out five.

Game two: JDCC 8, ESCC 0
In game two, JDCC blanked ESCC 8-0 to get the split. The Lady Warhawks used a five-run second inning to aid in the win.
Hannah Brake pitched JDCC to the win as she went five innings and allowed seven hits, no runs, walked none and struck out four.
For JDCC at the plate, Wooley, Brake and Alicia Richardson all had two hits each. Audrey Hamric, Jordan Swindle, Katlin Bryars and Boothe all finished with one hit each.
Wooley and Brake both had three RBIs each while Hamric and Boothe had one RBI each.
