TRM baseball defeats Citronelle by 10 for 16th straight win

The No. 3-ranked T.R. Miller Tigers baseball team saw their winning streak grow to 16 straight wins Tuesday night at home as they defeated Citronelle 12-2 in five innings.
Down 2-0 to the Wildcats after the top of the second inning, the Tigers scored five runs in the bottom half of the inning and seven in the third inning to get the big win.
On the mound for the Tigers, TRM used three pitchers with Tripp Floyd getting the start and the win.
Floyd went two innings and allowed one hit, no runs, walked two and struck out one.
Hunter Brittain went the next two innings and allowed five hits, two runs, one earned, walked one and struck out two.
JoJo Booker closed out the game for TRM as he went one inning and allowed no runs, no hits and struck out one.
At the plate, the Tigers pounded out 14 hits and was led by Jones Manning’s perfect 4-for-4 day. Manning added two RBIs.
Drew Williamson, Brittain, Floyd, and Jordan Williams all had one hit each. Williamson had one RBI while Brittain had a double and three RBIs.
Chris Jones went 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Booker and Caleb Winton also went 2-for-3. Winton had one RBI for the Tigers.
The 10-run win for the Tigers improved their overall record to 18-1 this season.
TRM’s game with Saraland, that was scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Thursday. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. at Saraland and will be a doubleheader.
TRM will host WSN on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
