TRM to travel to Opp for area tourney
After both teams went 3-1 in the regular season in their area games, the two teams had to settle for a coin flip last week to determine the host site for the area tourney. Opp won last Wednesday’s coin flip and will host the tournament Thurs., April 30.
TRM settled for the No. 2 spot in the tournament while Hillcrest took the No. 3 spot.
The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with TRM playing Hillcrest. The winner will get Opp at 10:30 a.m.
The loser from game one will play the loser of game two at noon. The winner of that game will play the 10:30 a.m. winner at 1:30 p.m. in the championship game.
If the loser of the 1:30 p.m. championship game has only one loss, a deciding game will be played at 3 p.m.
The tournament will be double elimination. Both the area champion and area runner-up advance to the South Regionals in Gulf Shores.
