WSN softball defeats Florala in regular season finale

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles softball team finished their regular season with a win Tuesday at home as they downed Florala 5-2. The win finished WSN’s regular season with an 8-13-1 overall record.
In the win Tuesday, Lady Eagle pitcher Haleigh Dubose pitched the Lady Eagles to the win as she went all seven innings and allowed six hits, two runs, one earned, walked none and struck out seven in the win.
At the plate, WSN’s Kaeli Brown, Brianna Pugh, and Marishia Fraser all had a double each while Madison Winchester had a homerun. Adria Barnett added one hit while Dubose had two hits. Fraser also had two hits in the win. Karissa Johnson also had a hit for the Lady Eagles while Winchester, Dubose, Pugh and Fraser all had one RBI each.
WSN will travel to UMS-Wright next week for their area tournament games. A schedule for the tournament was not known as of press time.
