An Opelika man is dead following a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 65.
The Alabama State Troopers reported the crash occurred at 4:15 a.m. at the 68-mile marker, 14 miles northwest of Flomaton.
James Leonard Andrews III, 29, was killed when the 2010 Ford F250 in which he was a passenger left the roadway and overturned. Andrews, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, Travis Delano Smith, 29, also of Opelika, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
