Indians defeat Angels

The East Brewton Indians doubled up the Brewton Angels recently to pick up their fourth win of the season.
In the game, the Indians broke a 2-all tie after four innings with two runs in the fifth inning to claim a 4-2 win. The win moved the Indians to 4-6 overall this season.
The Angels led 1-0 after one inning and held the lead until the top of the third when the Indians tied the game up. Both teams scored one run each in the fourth inning before the two runs in the fifth for the Indians propelled them to the two-run win.
On the mound, Jordan Sims and Samuel Bosarge pitched in the win and combined to go five innings and allowed two runs on three hits, struck out six and walked one.
At the plate, Tyler Brooks had a single while Bosarge added a double. Sims had two stolen bases in the win while Russell Ball added a hit and one RBI. Alex Alvarez scored one run and had a stolen base.
No stats were known from the Angels.

In a game last Monday between the East Brewton Rays and Indians, the Rays came away with an 8-5 win to move to 4-4 this season. The Indians fell to 3-4 overall.
The Indians led the Rays 3-2 after one inning but gave up two runs to the Rays in the third inning, one in the fourth and three more in the fifth to fall behind 8-3 after five innings. The Indians rallied in the sixth inning with two runs, but took the loss by three.
