A Tennessee man is dead after an early Wednesday morning interstate crash just south of Atmore.

Walter D. Broadway, 26, was killed when the 2005 Chevrolet Impala he was driving left the roadway and struck a bridge support panel. Broadway, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred at 2:10 a.m. Interstate 65, at exit 57, one half mile south of Atmore city limits. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
