Brewton 10U defeats East Brewton and goes 3-2 in Andalusia; EB goes 0-2

Playing in Andalusia this past week in the Cal Ripken 10U tournament, Brewton’s all-stars went 3-2 and came in third place while East Brewton went 0-2.
Brewton opened play Thursday with a 12-0 loss to Opp while East Brewton fell to Andalusia 7-6.
Facing off against each other Friday in the loser’s bracket, Brewton stayed alive with a 19-1 win over East Brewton to eliminate EB.
On Saturday, Brewton continued to fight off elimination as they downed Evergreen 15-5 and Andalusia 7-1.
On Sunday, Brewton lost to Covington County 7-6 to be eliminated.
Opp went on to defeat Covington County in the championship game to claim the tournament. Brantley was the lone other team in the seven-team tournament.
