The Brewton Heights Shopping Center has welcomed Wesley Craig and Gulf Vapor.
Craig, 32, an Andalusia resident who works as an electrician, discovered a new passion last November – and one he hopes is a great business venture.
“It turned from kicking tobacco to a full on hobby that I am now passionate about,” Craig said of the practice of replacing traditional cigarettes with vapor ones.
The business opened June 6 and features everything from starter kits to the more high-end devices for experienced vapors.
“Gulf Vapor a ‘vapor shop’ that allows tobacco users to swap over from tobacco to vaping,” Craig said.
“Vapor or vaping is heating up a solution of vegetable glycerine, propylene glycol, natural and artificial flavors and a USP grade nicotine solution using a ‘vaping device’ that comes in all shapes and sizes,” he said.
Craig said he hopes to help many kick the tobacco habit.
“I am here to really help educate people about this new way to enjoy their nicotine cravings along with a plethora of other things that comes along with vaping that are overall better,” he said. “You smell better, your teeth will become whiter and you will feel better.”
Craig said those who make the switch feel better, have more stamina and can breathe better.
“Business is picking up everyday as more people are finding out about me and are excited to have a real vape shop in their home town,” he said.
Craig is available to any who have questions about the vaping process.
“I will be happy to sit down with you and answer any questions you have,” he said. “My shop is a family friendly environment but no sales to anyone under the age of 19. All first responders and military get 10 percent off every purchase.”
The store is located at 1023 Douglas Ave, Suite 101 in the Brewton Heights shopping district, and is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
