The East Brewton Police Department is investigating the Saturday death of a four-month-old child.
Chief Kenny Brazile said officers were dispatched to a local home during morning hours after receiving a call of a baby not breathing. Emergency personnel responded and transported the child to D.W. McMillan Hospital emergency room, where the baby was pronounced dead.
Brazile said details of the case are not being released until more medical information is obtained.
“We’re waiting on medical and autopsy reports, so we can’t make any speculations as to the cause of death until we have that information,” Brazile said.
