The United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton is currently accepting applications from all qualified area agencies for our 2015-2016 year.
Locally, Kirk Garrett is the president of the United Fund.
Garrett said once the board receives all applications, they will evaluate them and select the agencies they will support for the 2015-2016 drive.
“We anticipate our drive will begin in early October,” Garrett said. “We have not set our fundraising goal at this time, but it has been $80,000 the past few years. Over 98 percent of all money raised goes directly to the agencies.”
In the past, some 19 organizations in the Brewton and East Brewton community have benefitted from donations. More than 98-cents of every dollar is passed along to the organizations.
Those requesting funding should send a request letter to the UF board via mail to: United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton, P.O. Box 34, Brewton, AL 36427.
