An improvement project at the Brewton Municipal Airport is one step closer to reality.
The Brewton City Council Monday approved a resolution pledging matching funds for a $302,211 grant for a 1,100-foot parallel taxiway.
City Clerk Steve Yuhasz said the match typically ranges between 5 and 10 percent, depending on the state’s ability to meet its portion.
