The 2015 TRM volleyball team won its 11th straight county tournament trophy on Saturday.

The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers volleyball team won its 11th straight Escambia County Volleyball Tournament trophy this past Saturday.

Miller head volleyball coach Terri Lynne Peacock, who won as a player in the first annual year of the tournament back in 2005, was very proud of her team’s performance to continue the streak. “It is such a privilege to come back as a TRM Tiger,” Peacock said. “It’s a great accomplishment for the present and past ladies who have maintained this undefeated record. We did some really good things today. We were a little inconsistent at times, but we were able to maintain our composure to win.”

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles would come in third place in the tournament. Neal head volleyball coach Jason Blaney liked the fight in his team throughout the tournament. “I was so proud of how hard the girls fought on what was a very emotional week and day,” Blaney said. “We have fought hard in every match we have played and will continue to throughout the rest of the season. Congratulations to TRM for their 11th straight win. Hat goes of to them, Coach Peacock and all their fans.”

At the end of the tournament, second place went to Flomaton; third, W.S. Neal; and fourth, Escambia County.
