Manning’s work to be featured
Refugee is a painting exhibition by Larry Manning which will be featured at the Thomas E. McMillan Art Gallery on the Brewton campus of Jefferson Davis Community College.
Manning, whose family history boasts immigrants from Ireland and England, understands the role refugees have played in American history.
That, along with the stories of Adam and Eve and those overseas helped to serve as inspiration for the the show.
The exhibit will open on Tues., Feb. 2, and close Feb. 29. On the Tuesday opening, Manning will give a lecture about the exhibition from 11 a.m. until noon. The public is invited to attend.
