Miller found itself on the wrong side of a low scoring game, losing to Straughn 2-1, to fall to 7-5 for the season.

Straughn scored at the top of the first inning off a single to right field.

It wasn’t until the top of the sixth inning when another run scored, by Straughn, to give Straughn the 2-0 lead.

Miller got on the board with a single to right field in the bottom of the inning.

Miller put its lead off hitter on base due to an infield error by Straughn. The promising inning was cut short when the Miller runner was called out on offensive interference.

Taylor Austin was 2-for-3 at the plate for Miller. Mallori Floyd and Myra Reiss each had a hit.

Austin was the losing pitcher, allowing two runs on five hits, five walks and three strikeouts.
