CPC distributes $94K in grants
The Children’s Policy Council recently distributed more than $94,000 in grant funds to local municipalities Thursday.
Some $22,500 was given to the cities of Brewton East Brewton, Flomaton and Atmore for beautification of a local park and to law enforcement for the purpose of combating underage drinking and drug use.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office was given $4,000 to fund sobriety checkpoints.
Funding was given as part of a coalition grant between Escambia and Covington County awarded by the Department of Mental Health Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant.
