FPD chief on shooting death: ‘We’re working very hard’
As of Friday, there is nothing new to report in the shooting death of a Flomaton teen.
Chief Bryan Davis said Thursday his department continues to investigate the “suspicious death” of Kenneth Harris.
Harris was found Wednesday inside a Lender Street home dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Because of the home’s close proximity to the Florida line, emergency personnel and law enforcement from Escambia County, Fla., also responded to the scene.
Davis said his department is being assisted in the investigation by Alabama’s State Bureau of Investigation.
Harris’ body taken to the state department of forensic science for an autopsy.
“We’re working very hard (in the investigation), but it may take several days to determine the circumstances of the shooting,” Davis said.
The Brewton Standard will update this story as more information becomes available.
