Eighteen teams including T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal were in action this past Thursday at the fourth TRM Invitational this season.

Participants with top performances for girl competition was Makayla Harrison and Allie Nelson. Harrison had three top five finishes with a first place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.54. Nelson finished first in 1,600 meter run with a time of 5:37.68. Neal’s Kelani Floyd had a first place finish in the long jump, with  distance of 16-11.5.

Other notable performances for the girls were:

•  Olivia Blackmon, TRM, second place, in the 3,200 meter run, with a time of 13:32.53

•  Serena Smith, TRM, second place, discus, with a distance of 88-0

•  Taylor Austin, TRM, third place, javelin, with a distance of 89-4

•  Aleria Smith, TRM, second place, shot put, with a distance of 30-3

•  Serena Smith, TRM, third place, shot put, with a distance of 29-6

 

For boys’ track and field, Miller’s Ahmaud Taylor racked up a few first place finshes. Taylor finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.40; the long jump, with a distance of 21-7; and the triple jump, with a distance of 44-5. Other notable performances for the boys were:

•  Bailey Graves, TRM, first place, pole vault, with a height of 11-0

•  Micah Flores, TRM, second place, 3,200 meter run, with a time of 11:20.23

•  Austin Holmes, TRM, second place, discus, with a distance of 121-2

•  Quenton Samuel, WSN, third place, 100-meter dash, with a time of 11.20

•  Malcolm Hawthorne, WSN, fourth place, high jump, with a height of 6-0

•  Troy Lewis, WSN, fourth place, long jump, with a distance of 20-6

The next meet for TRM will be the 3A sectionals this Friday and Saturday in Montgomery.

The next meet for WSN will be 4A sectionals this Friday and Saturday at Smiths Station High School.
