The Escambia County Chapter of the Alabama Alumni Association will hold its 13^th Annual Walter Lewis Golf Tournament Thurs., Sept. 8, 2016 at the Country Club of Brewton. Registration for the event begins at 11 a.m. with the shotgun start starting at 1 p.m. The cost of the event is $400 for a four-person team. The cost includes all green fees, cart and lunch.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are still available for the event.

The costs of sponsorships are:

• Gold sponsor, $1,000;

• Silver sponsor, $500; and,

• Hole sponsor, $100

The Walter Lewis Endowed Scholarship Fund has awarded over $70,000 to outstanding area high school seniors to help pave the way for their education at the University of Alabama since 1995. Participation in the annual tournament helps assure the continued funding and success of the scholarship fund.
