The Alpha Eta Lambda chapter of Phi Theta Kappa participated in the Alabama Region’s annual Leadership Conference in Columbiana on Sept. 23 and 24.

Students participated in a number of leadership and team-building activities geared toward honing their skills as campus leaders. JDCC PTK members participated in outdoor activities such as canoeing and wall climbing. They also worked alongside members of other Alabama PTK chapters on the regional Honors in Action project and teambuilding exercises.

JD students who attended the conference were Tristan Fore, Brewton; Lisa Smith, Evergreen; Emily Fayard, Flomaton; and Stephanie Brooks, Perdido.  Also in attendance was Phi Theta Kappa advisor, Dr. David Willis.

The minimum qualifications for joining the PTK honors society are a 3.5 GPA and at least 12 units at JD.
