Neal has tough time Bulldogs, Blue Devils

The W.S. Neal B-team and boy’s varsity suffered losses against area opponents Andalusia and Escambia County at home on Monday and Tuesday.

 

WSN 32, Andalusia 40 (B-team)

Neal closed out the half with a 18-16 lead at halftime. Andalusia came out strong in the third, outscoring Neal 10-6 to take a 26-24 lead at the end of three. The Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth behind seven points from Undre Johnson.

Leading Neal in scoring was Dylan Ingram with eight points.

Johnson finished the game with 15 points to lead the Bulldogs.

 

WSN 35, Andalusia 79 (Boys)

Andalusia led Neal 49-22 at the half. The Bulldogs went on to outscore the Eagles 30-13 in the second half for the win.

Jacobey Hawthorne led the Eagles with 17 points and six rebounds.

 

WSN 40, ECHS 60 (B-team)

Escambia County exploded in the first quarter outscoring Neal 19-5 in the first quarter. Atmore closed out the half, leading 33-14. Both teams were relatively even in the second half, with Atmore outscoring Neal 27-26.

Leading Neal was Noah Hill with seven points

Jordan Hails and Aquarius Taylor had six points apiece.

John Dirden led the Blue Devils in scoring with 18 points.

 

WSN 47, ECHS 69 (Boys)

Atmore had a stellar first quarter, outscoring Neal 22-11; and third quarter, outscoring Neal 19-9 to cruise to the win.

Marvin Maddox had 15 points to lead Neal. Jacobey Hawthorne had 12 points.

Neal had 22 turnovers in the game.
