All-Star Academy Cheer shines in Mobile

The All Star Academy cheerleaders competed this past Saturday in Mobile at the Worldwide Spirit Association. The youth team took first place and the senior team took first place as well.  The youth team was also crowned high point champion of the competition.

On Nov. 19, 2016 the All Star Cheerleading teams competed in Destin, Fla.  The All Star Academy youth and senior teams both had first place finishes in their divisions, and earned an entry into THE ONE competition in Orlando in May. The organization was Worldwide Spirit Association based our of Baton Rouge, La. Athletes ages range from 8-16 and are all students from Neal, T.R. Miller, Brewton Elementary School and Brewton Middle School.

Athletes include: Elisabeth Bell, Kaylie Blackburn, Trint Brown, Lilly Chavers, Grayton Coale, Allison Graves, Maci Happoldt, Emma Claire Hayes, Luci Hughes, Antiunna Knight, Desiree Lambert, Jalyn Nettles, Justice McDowell, Emma Thompson, Ansley Till, Molly Till, Belle Walker, Emerson Walters, Grace Walters. Coaches are Scot Perry, Joshua Williamson and Nikki Smith.
