Coastal Alabama Brewton Warhawk head softball coach Misti Nims and the Warhawks will take to the field today on the road against Central Alabama Community College in a double-header matchup beginning at 2 p.m. The game marks the opening of the season for the Lady Warhawks. The team will have its first home game Tues., Feb. 21 in a doubleheader against Northwest Florida State College beginning at 1 p.m.

Conference play will begin Tues., March 14, versus the Coastal Alabama Bay Minnette Lady Sun Chiefs. Other conference games will be against Enterprise, Bishop State, Chattahoochee Valley, LBW, Coastal Alabama Monroeville and Wallace-Dothan.

The Lady Warhawks return nine sophomores– Breana Rogers, Grace Kilcrease, Rachel Reeves, Paige Desmond, Emily Loring, Beonna Dean, Kayla Lovett, Kaley Workman and Savanna Colley.

Newcomers to the team are: Jeri Beasley, Rebekah Turner, Melanie Smith, Kaylen Holtzapfel, Teja Landry, Hannah Driscoll, Amberly Hicks, Ashleigh Price, Devin Holsonback, Sarah Williams, Sydney Boatner and Katie Williams.

Assisting Coach Nims is coach Ed Johnson.
