The T.R. Miller Lady Tigers defeated Clarke County 44-40 in the subregional round.

After only scoring four points in the first quarter, Miller scored 16 points in the second, 14 points in the third and 10 points in the fourth.

Leading Miller was Aleria Smith with 14 points, 16 rebounds, four steals and two blocks. Steely Ruzic had 16 points and eight rebounds. Malaysia Campbell served as defensive specialist for the team, holding the opponent’s star player to only 10 points.

TRM will play Straughn at the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan on Sat., Feb. 18 at 3 p.m.

TRM defeated Straughn 41-7 earlier in the season.
