Brewton man dies in crash
A Brewton man died in a crash near Loxley Tuesday.
Alabama State Troopers reported Richard Adam White, 38, was killed when the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon, in which he was a passenger, left the roadway and overturned.
White, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Dillon James Boardman, the 21-year-old driver from Madison, was transported to USA Hospital in Mobile for treatment of his injuries.
The crash occurred at 12:50 a.m. on U.S. Ala. 31 at the 12.20-mile marker, one mile north of Loxley. Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, preliminary investigation indicates alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
