Man charged; counts pending against another
Charges are pending against a second man in connection with an April 13 shooting and attempted robbery.
Brewton Police announced last week officers responded to a gunshot wound victim at D.W. McMillan Hospital on April 13. The victim, who was not identified, was reportedly shot during an attempted robbery at Brewtington Point Apartments.
As a result of the investigation, Reginald Kennedy of Pensacola is charged with first-degree assault and attempted robbery.
Reports indicated this was not a random victim and residents should not be concerned for their safety at this time.
Earlier this week, investigators announced Kelvin Carnell Golden was arrested by U.S. Marshals on several unrelated robbery charges. BPD investigators said charges against Golden are pending.
