Dr. Bagwell holding rabies clinic June 3

Dr. John D. Bagwell will hold his annual rabies clinic for dogs and cats on Sat., June 3.

“Rabies is harbored in this part of the county in the skunk, fox and raccoon populations,” Bagwell said. “One of them bites a dog or a cat and then that’s how it gets to man. If we vaccinate enough pets, it puts a barrier between the disease and humans.”

Bagwell asks that the animals be three months of age or older and restrained either by a leash or in a cage or pet carrier.
