Brewton’s Keith Pugh was named as one of 15 finalists in the United Bank farm and landscape photo contest.

Pugh, along with the other finalists and winners, were honored last week with a luncheon.

“These photos remind us that we are fortunate to live in a unique and diverse area,” said United Bank President and CEO Robert R. Jones III. “Each photo has a story and exposes us to special places and an instant in time.  We are grateful to these artists for sharing these experiences with all of us. “

Photo entries were accepted from April 1 through June 30 and included farms, landscapes, buildings and miscellaneous sceneries. With almost 900 entries representing Monroe, Escambia or Baldwin Counties in Alabama, Santa Rosa or Escambia Counties in Florida, the photos will be used in several areas of the bank including marketing and advertising as well as the bank’s annual calendar.

Other photo finalists included Aaron Guy and Ditto Gorme of Atmore; Corey McDonald of Monroeville; Crystal Godwin of Escambia County, Fla.; Steve Centers of Daphne and Delane Bond of Fairhope.

McDonald was named the grand prize and president’s award winner, while Gorme earned a first place finish. America and Ken Ward Megargel won second place and Lisa Gregory, third place.

Votes are currently being accepted on the bank’s Facebook page for People’s Choice Award. The photo with the most likes will be honored with this recognition on Aug. 7.
