Arcade coming to Brewton
An arcade is coming to Brewton by the summer.
The Brewton City Council on Monday approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to work out the logistics of making the arcade come to fruition.
Brewton Mayor Yank Lovelace said the arcade would be located at Dogwood Hills.
“The City is working to have an arcade for our kids this summer,” he said. “It would be in the old pro shop, so we will have an arcade and a restaurant.”
Lovelace said the company has sent a list of games, and they will pick which ones they want to bring.
“I don’t know how may we will have,” he said. “But I will get a team together and we will go over and measure and decide what is appropriate.”
Lovelace said the goal is to get more opportunities for young people to have things to do in Brewton.
