Warhawks wins 1-of-2 games

The CACC Warhawks baseball team continues to get better and better as they were matched up against Chattahoochee Valley CC in a double header Saturday.

The matchup resulted with the Warhawks taking game one winning 2-1 and Chattahoochee winning game two 3-0. The Warhawks are now 9-21, with being 5-8 at home and 4-12 on the road.

Hayden Wright had two hits, three at bats, two runs batted in and two doubles. Hunter Reeves had two at bats, one run and one hit. James Adam three at bats, one run, one hit and Brent NeSmith had two at bats, one hit and one walk.

Matthew Boswell was the pitcher for the Warhawks as Chattahoochee batters faced him 24 times and he was successful 2-1 pitching.

In game one the Warhawks had 24 at bats, two runs, five hits, two runs batted in two walks and two doubles.

The Warhawks allowed Chattahoochee to have the lead with them getting a run in the second inning, but the Warhawks responded in the sixth inning getting two runs to finish the game.

In game two the Warhawks struggled early with Chattahoochee leading the way again in the first inning three runs to 0.

Hunter Reeves was the pitcher for this game. Reeves also had three at bats and one hit. Brandon Rembert had two at bats and one hit and James Adam three at bats and one hit.

In both games the Warhawks overall combined for 46 at bats, two runs, eight hits, two runs batted in, two walks and two doubles.

Despite losing the last game the Warhawks did have another victory during the week on Monday where they defeated Elaine P. Nunez CC 9-1.

They will continue the week with a road game at Wallace CC-Dothan on Thursday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Then another game on Saturday where they will face Wallace CC-Dothan in Brewton at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
