Changes are coming next month for the East Brewton Trustmark location. “Beginning May 18, there will be changes made at the East Brewton location for Trustmark,” Brewton Market President Debbie Hardee said. “The bank will continue to service the East Brewton market as it has for over 30 years, but the lobby and drive thru will be closed and the employees consolidated into the two other locations Trustmark has in the area.” Hardee said that the ATM will continue to be available and will service customers’ banking needs including withdrawals and deposits. “Most importantly we will continue to provide top level customer service to all of our customers whether they reside in East Brewton, Brewton or the surrounding area as we have for over 100 years,” she said. Hardee said increased technology has played a role in the change. “The reality is that most businesses are facing new business climates in regards to the increased usage of technology by its customers,” she said. “Trustmark’s Internet banking platform has proven to be an extremely efficient way to handle most of our customers’ day-to-day business, and the fact is most banking customers do not actually come to the physical locations as much as they used to.” Hardee said the Trustmark main office is less than a mile from East Brewton. “While the East Brewton location will no longer be full service, the Trustmark main office is readily available and less than one mile from the East Brewton location and can handle all of your banking needs from consumer banking to commercial banking and even investment and trust activities,” she said. Those who find comfort banking with familiar faces will still have that option. “If you are accustomed to seeing familiar faces when you bank at the East Brewton location, you can rest easy knowing that all of employees from the East Brewton branch will be absorbed into the same roles at our Northside and main office locations,” she said. “We will not be losing any employees because of this transition and that is something we are very proud of.” Hardee said that Trustmark has been heavily involved in the East Brewton community for more than 30 years and that the support for the community will not change.
