The T.R. Miller Tigers close out their spectacular season losing to Mobile Christian in the losers bracket on Friday 4-0.

TRM played Wicksburg in the first round before they played the losers bracket and lost 7-1.

The Tigers fought hard trying to secure the win but they couldn’t get the bats to swing in the favor. “Of course we are very disappointed in our performance in Gulf Shores, but overall we had a very successful season,” head coach Chris Baker said.

They finish the season going 21-13. They Tigers also won their five last regular season games before entering into the playoffs.

For the season Myra Reiss has averaged 106 plate apperances, 39 hits, 29 singles, seven doubles, one triple and two homeruns. Addi Smith has averaged 104 plate apperances, 22 hits, 14 singles, five doubles, two triples and one homerun. Mallori Floyd had 112 plate apperances, 31 hits, 18 singles, 11 doubles, one triple and one homerun. Mary Madison Brown averaged 106 plate apperances, 25 hits, 17 singles, six doubles, one triple and one homerun.

Also, Steely Ruzic had 99 plate apperances, 35 hits, 28 singles, five doubles, one triple and one homerun. “I’m really happy we won our area tournament this year for our senior players,” Baker said.

Baker said, “Off-season will be important as I think our area will be super strong next season. However, we have some strong players ready to step up to the challenge.”
