W. S. Neal High School football team hit the field Friday jumping into their spring scrimmage, as they look for great things coming regular season in the fall.

The Eagles ran out on the field with high energy and determination along with the motivation from the Eagles support cast.

The Eagles won the coin toss and they started the game with them on offense. They ran great running and passing plays and looked like a team with determination and motivation.

The final score of the game was West Florida taking the win 21-6. “We will take what we did from the scrimmage and go forth with it,” Williams said.

A lot of times going into spring you see, who can handle a tackle, throw, hit and run, Williams said “That’s what I do to see where my team is at,” he said.

“The kids responded well, but it’s our job as coaches to get them there by regular season. We will evaluate our guys, watch some film and take what we learn from there,” he said.

The Eagles will have their summer training, before having another scrimmage on July 12 at 9 a.m.

Williams said, “It’s always great to have our crowd supporting our kids. It’s always good to have some great support.

“Overall, I’m proud of our guys as I saw some young guys along with older guys who went out and competed. I saw some kid’s who will look good going into the fall,” he said.
