Baker said, “There’s potential in the players at Escambia. My family and I are going to move to Pensacola, and we are excited to be going back to Escambia. The programs at Escambia are on the way up and looking forward to working with the athletes there.
“It’s where I am from and I’m moving closer to my family,” he said. “They had talked to me about coming back and maybe it was time to look into it. I started to miss out things with my family and my wife who lives in Pace, Fla. as of right now.”
Baker has two decades of experience as a coach at the varsity level. While at TRM, he was the head softball coach and offensive coordinator on the Tigers football staff.
“I just want to thank the faculty, staff, parents and fans for everything that they have done while I was here at TRM, he said. I will miss the girls and they will hold a special place in my heart.”
