Brewton’s Arby’s in getting a facelift.

Greg Thompson, chief operating officer for Beavers, the franchisee for the local fast food chain, said Monday that they are remodeling the building.

Thompson said that the local store has been operational in Brewton for 20 years, and when the store opened it had one of the highest days for sales in company.

“The new format will look like the one in Crestview or Milton,” he said. “It will give customers a better experience.”

The new design features a more contemporary look with bright red accents.

Thompson said that the store’s drive-thru is only open currently, and that they would close for a few weeks in July.

“We are trying to work to open back up in July,” he said.

Thompson said all current employees will keep their jobs and they will try to employ between 25 and 30 employees.

“We will hold a grand opening six weeks after we reopen,” he said.
