Tickets still on sale for next week’s theater performance

Tickets are still on sale for next week’s performances of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

The performance features locals and is being presented by Brewton Town and Gown Players.

Artistic Director Stephen Billy is beyond thrilled to be bringing this family classic to local audiences. “With the same music team that brought you Mary Poppins, the show is filled with memorable music and high energy dance numbers. To make it even better, we will have a flying car in the production! This show is perfect for audience members of all ages, so please bring your family and join the fun. This is a remarkably talented cast, so I promise, you are in for a true treat!”

The performance will feature several ensembles as well as Perry M. Jones as Caractacus Potts, Carly Jo Marten as Truly Scrumptious, Emma Madison as Jemima Potts, Herrington Hobbs as Jeremy Potts, Richard McEwan as Toymaker; Mac Baxter as Boris, Hannah Mallory as Goran, Courtney Ladnier as Baroness, Michael Tallon as Baron, Steve Billy as Grandpa Potts and Kay Leigh Faircloth as Childcatcher.

The first peformance will be Thurs., July 19, at 7 p.m.

Other performances are Fri., July 20, at 7 p.m., Sat., July 21, at 7 p.m., and Sun., July 22 at 2 p.m.

The event will be at the Woodfin Patterson Auditorium on the campus of Coastal Alabama Community College in Brewton.
