Morris shows promise for Nuggets

Monte Morris who plays for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA is showing that he has what it takes to be a major key for the team.Morris is the son of the late Michael Williams and his paternal grandmother, isEvelyn Daniels who lives here in Brewton.
His half brother MichaelSmith lives here in Brewton as well.He also have uncles that live here in Brewton Tlarence Daniels and Dempsey Daniels.“He is a humbled young man that is protective of his mother Latoina Morris,loves his family and the game of basketball,”Tlarence said.
Morris is an alumni ofIowa State He was drafted in the second round of the NBA draft last year as the 51 overall pick,which made him the thirdIowa State player picked in the last two seasons.“A nephew that plays inthe NBA is a big feeling.My brother and I wasthere for his draft party and just couldn’t believe our nephew was getting drafted. My brother Williams would’ve been so proud of him. My motherEvelyn and Ericka Daniels are super happy for him,”Tlarence said.
Morris just finished his summer league play in LasVegas where he averaged 17.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game.“He is currently on a two-year contract with theNuggets and we as a family trust his work ethic and we love him,” Tlarence said.
