Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

BY MICHAEL FLOYD

Alabama tied the game with three minutes to go against the Baylor Bears, but fell 73-68. According to RollTide.com Coach Avery Johnson said “You have to give credit to (head coach) Scott Drew and Baylor today, they played tough and outrebounded us, which rarely happens. They just did a good job hustling – converting our turnovers into points and doubling us up on second-chance points. We just didn’t have our best game today. There were some stretches where we played well and were able to get the ball inside against their zone. I thought Riley gave us some big minutes off the bench, but we just didn’t play enough of a 40-minute game to win on the road. I thought this was the opposite of how we played our last game at home, but give them credit because they had a lot to do with that.”  Riley Norris led scoring with 16pts with Kira Lewis Jr. and Tevin Mack both adding 15pts. Alabama also had 16 offensive rebounds. Tough loss, but they return to the friendly confines of Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday night to face Mississippi State. In order for the Tide to win, they’ll need to get back to dominating the inside and keep the Bulldogs off the glass. Then on Saturday February 2nd, it will be the Iron Bowl on the hardwood !
