TRM softball loses close one to FHS

Saturday’s game against Flomaton was a heartbreaker for T.R. Miller tigers Varsity softball team as they lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat. The game was tied at six with Flomaton batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run for Flomaton.
Despite the loss, T.R. Miller tigers Varsity did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Flomaton had nine hits on the way to victory.

J Lassiter got the win for Flomaton. She allowed nine hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out eight.
Makenzie Thomas took the loss for T.R. Miller tigers Varsity. She allowed nine hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out three.
T.R. Miller tigers Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Sailor Smith and Mallori Floyd all had multiple hits for T.R. Miller tigers Varsity. Floyd and Smith all had two hits to lead T.R. Miller tigers Varsity.
Flomaton had nine hits in the game. K Coleman and L Knowles each collected multiple hits for Flomaton.

T.R. Miller tigers Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Flomaton on Tuesday. Flomaton scored on a wild pitch by M Tremer, a groundout by L Knowles, and a single by D Schreiner in the first inning.
The T.R. Miller tigers Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Flomaton, giving up 12 runs.
Flomaton fired up the offense in the first inning, when a sacrifice bunt by Tremer scored one run for Flomaton.
Flomaton scored three runs in the fifth inning. K Coleman and Tremer each drove in runs during the inning.
J Lassiter took the win for Flomaton. She allowed one hit and two runs over five innings, striking out six.
Anna Grace White took the loss for T.R. Miller tigers Varsity. She lasted one and one-third innings, allowing four hits and five runs.
Gabbi Solomon went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead T.R. Miller tigers Varsity in hits.
Flomaton totaled nine hits in the game. Coleman and Schreiner each managed multiple hits for Flomaton. Coleman led Flomaton with three hits in four at bats.
