Brewton Elementary School hosted their sixth annual 4th grade Reading Fair on Monday.
Fourth grade teacher Shellie Carden, who orchestrated the competition, said the fair gives the students an opportunity to apply the elements of fictional literature, which they learned about this year. Carden said it prepares the students for interacting with fiction.
First place was Emma Madison with the book “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” Second place was Ollie Billingsley with the book “Dork Diaries.” Third place was Natalie Bass with the book “Dear Dumb Diary.” There were also several honorable mentions.
