Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

School’s out for summer! Well, almost. The students are almost out of school, and that usually means parents need to find ways to keep them busy and productive. Luckily for the Greater Brewton area, there are plenty of summer camps and vacation Bible schools students can participate in.

YMCA’s summer camp will begin May 28 and end Aug. 7. Registration is currently open and will stay open all summer long. Parents will be able to drop their children off at the camp as early as 7:15 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6 p.m. The registration fee is $25 and the weekly fee is $85 for YMCA members and $110 for non-members. The weekly fee includes a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. The camp will do a total of four field trips with one of them being a day at Sam’s Surf City in Pensacola. They will also celebrate the Fourth of July with a cookout and a waterslide. Some of the daily activities will be swimming, arts and crafts, and playing sports. For more information about YMCA’s summer camp, call them at (251) 867-9622.

All Star Academy will have five different camps that vary in length throughout the summer: June 3-7 and 11-21, July 8-12 and 22-26, and July 29- Aug. 2. Each camp day will be from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The registration fee is $35, and it comes with a gift. The camp is $75 per week. The camp will have gymnastics, tumbling, bounce houses and more.
