Brewton Sportsman Club hosted a fall festival on Oct. 31 at the Brewton Sportsman Park.

Welcoming trick-or-treaters from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., the group offered a fun family friendly night.

“We had a hayride, bouncy house, many different booths set up, and plenty of candy to go around,” said Chairman Tenare Hendrieth.

In an effort to provide a safer festive option for Halloween night, Hendrieth explained the motivation behind the event.

“We did this to keep the children off the street and keep them in a centralized location,” shared Hendrieth.

The first year for the event, Hendrieth was very pleased with the event.

“We had a great turn out and we were glad the weather helped us.

It cleared out and was very nice,” said Hendrieth.

Hendrieth was very thankful for all the support he received throughout the event.

He extended special thanks to the city of Brewton, city of Brewton Fire Department, Aaron’s Rental, New Beginnings Ministries, Zion Fountain AME church, Walmart, Jalisco Restaurant, Hall and Monroe Stem, New Beginnings Outreach Store, and Mr. Kenny Garvin.

Hendrieth contributes all of the success to the help of these organizations and businesses.

“Everything seemed to be a success. People loved the decorations we had. We tried to make it festive and keep the atmosphere on the upbeat and it went very well,” concluded Hendrieth.
