Lady Warhawks bomb Georgia Military 25-9

DOTHAN – Coastal Alabama-East used a 10-run fourth inning to humble Georgia Military College 25-9 Saturday, Feb. 8.

Leading 14-7, CA-East scored 11 runs in the top of the sixth to end the game on the mercy rule.

Madison Mathis belted two home runs in the game for the Lady Warhawks and Julia Griffin had a solo shot.

Ashley Serviss, Maddie Heatherly and Kayleigh Cathon had doubles.

Mathis had 6 RBI, Serviss 5, Heatherly, Cathon, Caitlyn Thomas 3 RBI a piece, Hannah Dukes, Emily Cook, Hannah Dukes and Emilee Quimby 2 RBI each and Brianna Hernandez 1. Carly Sarratt, Sydnie High and Jae-Lauren Nipper worked two innings each for CA-East. High (2-2) picked up the win.

The Lady Warhawks scored 25 runs on 20 hits and committed three errors.

Georgia military had 9 runs on 10 hits and committed 4 errors.

Laura Lee Keene (2-3) was charged with the loss.
