While the coronavirus has affected every business and organization in some way, Escambia County Habitat for Humanity is continuing with its efforts while still maintaining social distancing guidelines to protect the health of our employees and volunteers.
The “Stud Run”, our 5k spring fundraiser originally scheduled for April, will be rescheduled at a later date.
The remodeling continues on a house on H.K Matthews, though various tasks are being spaced out to protect those involved. Volunteers are still needed but will be used in small groups of three to five people.
With the economy seriously affected, donations for the ReStore are critical at this juncture. Items such as furniture, household items and appliances are always needed and their sale is used to fund local projects.
If anyone would like to volunteer or make donations, call the Habitat office at 867-0095 or the ReStore at 867-5659.
